• Mold fee: $70–$420 (fixed)
• Setup/prototyping labor: 1–2 days (fixed)
• Electroplating bath minimum batch (fixed)
• QC and packaging: per piece (variable)

Spread across 10 pieces, fixed costs add $28/piece; across 50 pieces, $5.60/piece; across 200 pieces, $1.40/piece.

Strategies for New Brands

Mix styles: 30 pieces per design, 3 designs = 90 pieces total, MOQ calculated on total.

Pay mold fee: Factory waives MOQ but mold fee is non-refundable ($70–$210). Good for test designs.

Small first order, fast reorder: 30 pieces to test market, then 200-piece reorder. Factories relax terms after trust is built.
